Kirstie has always had a strong passion for animals, and that love has shaped both her career and her life. She studied for a degree in Environmental Biology before completing a Master’s degree in Agriculture in the UK.
Over the years, she’s been fortunate to gain experience in a wide variety of animal-related roles, including working on dairy and sheep farms and at Edinburgh Zoo. She then spent 20 years teaching Animal Management at a further education college in North Wales, where she enjoyed sharing her passion for animals and the environment with students and helping them develop their own skills for working with animals.
Animals are also a big part of her life outside of work. She spends her spare time teaching, training and competing in canicross with her three dogs, caring for horses and enjoying as much time outdoors as possible.
